The small town of Bromont (5473 inhabitants in 2002) is situated along highway 10, at an equal distance between Montreal and Sherbrooke (less than one hour from each) and at less than 40 minutes from the American border.
On site, at the Chateau Bromont, you will have access to the indoor pool, the whirlpool baths, an outdoor terrace with panoramic view of the mountain and the golf course, the landscaped garden, the “Pavillon des Sens” (Pavilion of the Senses) as well as the Chateau Bromont Golf Club.
The Bromont Tourist Station is the main attraction of the town. It offers various activities from season to season: skiing, water slides, paths for mountain biking, walking, and horse back riding. The town of Bromont is proud of its several golf courses including an ‘open to the public’ course for the greater joy of golf aficionados.
In the old town of Bromont, one finds a charming area with outdoor terraces, restaurants and boutiques. In May (from the 19th to the 27th), there is the Chocolate Festival (La Fete du Chocolat) and sample tastings are offered for the pleasure of young and old alike. Visit the Chocolate Museum and its restaurant/café.
The area surrounding lakes Bromont and Gale reveals small farms and equestrian centers in an environment of lush green valleys with a spectacular view of the countryside with the mountain as backdrop.
L’Estriade, a magnificent, entirely paved, bicycle path offers a trail of 56 km meandering through the towns of Granby, Bromont, Canton de Shefford and Waterloo. This trail sits at the heart of a network adding up to more than 400 km of paths and is accessible from Bromont at a short distance of 2.4 km (La Villageoise).
Climb aboard the Orford Express, a tourist train made up of two autorail-restaurant cars which can accommodate up to 72 persons, and allow yourself to enjoy the beautiful unfolding landscapes between Sherbrooke, Magog, Eastman, and Bromont, while savoring exquisite meals.
